Fans of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! don’t have long to wait for the 2023 series as the start date has been confirmed by ITV – and it is less than two weeks away. The hit reality show which, for many of us, signals that Christmas is on its way will return to our screens on Sunday, November 19.

The hugely exciting news was revealed to fans on Monday (November 6) during an ad break during Good Morning Britain. The last series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! to air launched on the slightly earlier date of November 6 due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 2023 edition will kick off at a standard time for I’m A Celebrity on November 19, and is expected to last for three weeks. It comes after the first ever all-star edition of the show – I’m A Celebrity… South Africa – aired back in April, with Helen Flanagan and Clifton resident Carol Vorderman among the stars that ditched their lives of luxury for a diet of rice and beans in the pre-recorded series.

TV listings for November 19 are not yet available and this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! line-up has not yet been divulged by ITV. What is known, however, is that the new series will once again be hosted by legendary duo Ant and Dec, who will be bringing us the show from the usual location of the Australian jungle.

The Mirror has reported that the first episode of the series, which will introduce this year’s campmates, will kick off at 9pm on November 19 and finish at 10.45pm. The news of the start date comes after rumoured contestant Frankie Dettori was confirmed to be heading Down Under ahead of the new series starting.

In the early hours of yesterday morning, the jockey updated fans on his whereabouts. “Hi everyone, I am here in California at the moment. I will get on the plane after racing, I’m coming to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup,” he said.

“Unfortunately, this year I’m suspended, so I can ride but I will support the Melbourne Cup carnival for the week, see some old friends riding and have a smashing time at the racing. Hopefully we see some good winners, so make sure you come and see us.”
